COMSOL modeling progress…
Over the last few days I have spent some time learning the basics of the COMSOL modeling software. I have just started to understand the basics and I just wanted to show an example of what this program is capable of. Below are images of flow modeled through a “non-uniform pore”. This model assumes water is flowing through the pore under Incompressible Navier-Stokes conditions with steady-state analysis.
Full “pore”:
Pore cross-section:
Full “pore” with flow velocity: …Inlet is to the right and outlet is to the left, also blue represent low flow velocity and progresses to red which is high flow velocity.
Pore cross-section with flow:
Again, this is just one of many possible applications for COMSOL, and I am still learning….
