EV Capture Update
Hey, this will be a rather short post, but kind of important for the current work on my 5637 EV capture. While working over the break, I was messing around with capturing CFSE labeled 5637 EVs and I noticed that there were many large clusters on the membrane surface (Figure 1A). This was concerning to me because I couldn’t seem to visualize individual vesicles on the membrane surface. Therefore, I decided to try pre-filtering the labeled EVs with a small (0.5 μm) microporous membrane. When I imaged this new sample, there was a dramatic reduction in the large clusters on the membrane surface, suggesting that I had removed the aggregated fractions with the microporous membrane (Figure 1B). I of course ran a now EV control with just CFSE and observed no fluorescence.
