Dye transport through 501
It took me a little while to figure out how to turn the .avi file into a .gif, but here is an image of the diffusion through 501. Due to a problem with MatLab, it took about 5min before I started taking images of the diffusion. So this starts at ~5 min after the 100mM rhodamine was pipetted into the well. Diffusion is much slower than what I normally see, but the rhodamine is getting through the membrane.

Where on the wafer was this membrane from?

Sorry, misunderstood the question. It’s position -3,3.
Don’t forget that diffusion is not a good way to judge porosity. However, it is an nice way to show if there is ANY porosity. The air permeability data indicates that this wafer is about 1000X less porous than our high porosity membranes.
