Hydraluic Permeability Update
I ran some more tests on the microcon and nanosep filtration systems at 21.36psi (4000RPM) and 194.65psi (12,000RPM). Both are rated for forces up to 14,000 time gravity which is about 340psi but after talking to Tom we thought it best to run it at a slightly lower pressure to account for any possible error that might occur in the calibration calculations of the centrifuge conversion chart.
The tests that I ran on Thursday at 21.36psi seem to not fit into the general trend of the rest of the data. I double checked my calculations of hydraulic permeability based on the flow numbers and everything checks. I might have been recording the wrong filter types in the wrong locations of my lab-book or I might have been reading the volumes incorrectly when preforming the reverse pipetting; either way I am going to retest both systems at 21.36psi and see if I get different results.
