Incubator versus Benchtop
(Transferred from old blog)
From the above discoloration array it can be inferred that the RTP treated samples in the incubator are discoloring in much slower rate than the ones on the benchtop. Thus, incubator conditions prevent the chips from discoloring. The reason behind this could be the carbon dioxide present in th incubator which makes the media acidic and hence favors the membrane stability. Similar progression is observed in case of non RTP treated samples also. It can be seen that the 1000C, 5min RTP treated samples are stable throughout in the salt solution irrespective of whether its in incubator or on benchtop!
To sum this up, RTP treated samples in media/salt in incubator are stable enough. Also, RTP treated samples in salts on benchtop are relatively stable and there is not much diference in porosity over time as shown in another post.

Was the DMEM with serum or without?
DMEM is supplemented with 10% FBS.
