Two ways to subscribe to the blog
There are now two ways to sign up to receive new blog content by e-mail.
The original way was disabled for a few months, but is now back. This is the approach that creates a beautiful e-mail with full post content. We found a security flaw here and so we’ve removed the subscription window on the right panel of the datablog page …
and I will personally manage the e-mails for this type of subscription. So if you don’t want this subscription and don’t have it, you’ll need to ask me.
The new type of subscription creates a short e-mail notice that requires the reader to come to the blog to read the remainder of the post. But it does enable the user to select the category of post they wish to get notice of and it will not allow subscription to categories that the user does not have permission for.
